Description

Olympus Tough TG-7 with Ikelite Underwater Housing Kit

Travel light without compromising performance. The OM System Tough TG-7 with Ikelite ULTRAcompact Underwater Housing is a small, lightweight kit for underwater photography—ideal for divers, snorkelers, and travellers.

Olympus’ camera division was sold in 2020 and rebranded as OM System. In 2023, the company introduced the Tough TG-7, continuing the legacy with stronger imaging performance.

The TG-7 features a bright 25–100 mm zoom lens and a back-illuminated CMOS sensor for excellent low-light results. Microscope Mode delivers exceptional macro capability—rivaling far more expensive mirrorless setups.

Highlights

  • Bright 25–100 mm mid-range zoom
  • 12 MP BSI-CMOS sensor with RAW
  • Outstanding Microscope Mode & focus stacking
  • Rugged, waterproof camera body
  • Ikelite housing depth-rated to 60 m (200 ft)

Flash

Due to the position of the built-in flash relative to the lens, it’s not ideal for underwater illumination. For best colour and clarity, add a filter, strobe, or constant light. The housing includes two fibre-optic ports to trigger up to two external strobes from the camera’s flash.

Wide Angle

The optional DC1 6″ Dome Port replaces the standard port to deliver a sharp 25 mm wide angle, full zoom-through, and close-focus macro. It’s also excellent for split shots (half-in/half-out of the water).

Housing Features

  • Flat port with 67 mm thread
  • Depth rating: 60 m (200 ft)
  • Controls for all camera functions (except INFO button)
  • Slightly positive buoyancy in freshwater
  • 1/4-20 tray mounting with 76 mm (3″) spacing

    Hi Matthew,

We appreciate your feedback. Unfortunately, due to its compact size, this camera does not have the same battery capacity as larger models. This is why we always recommend carrying a spare battery for your trips.

To help extend battery life, we suggest turning off Bluetooth and keeping the camera screen off when you aren't shooting.

If there is anything else we can assist you with, please give us a call and we will be happy to help. Thanks for choosing us!
