About the Housing

As with all Aquatica housings, the AZ8 is CNC machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and treated with a MIL-A-8625 anodized coating, then finished with a baked-on, extra-tough powder coat paint. Control shafts and push buttons are made from T304 stainless steel, ensuring the housing can withstand harsh conditions and extended use.

The AZ8 housing supports Nikon Z-mount lenses and the FTZ adapter. You can remove the adapter from the camera without removing the camera from the housing. Lens releases for both F and Z mounts are included. All camera functions are fully accessible from the housing.

Spring-loaded, self-centering controls and stainless steel guide rails make camera installation simple and secure. Mount the tray on the camera and slide it into place with ease.

To protect your gear, the AZ8 includes the Surveyor Vacuum System (valve and pump) as standard. This system allows users to perform leak checks prior to dives, offering added peace of mind.
