Ikelite 200DL Underwater Housing for Sony Alpha A7 III, A7R III & A9

A full-featured and durable waterproof housing for Sony Alpha A7 III, A7R III, and A9 mirrorless cameras. Suitable for scuba diving, snorkelling, surfing, pool use, and any application in or around the water.

Only housings produced from June 2023 and later (beginning with serial number 78668) feature an M16 accessory port. Housings produced prior to this date feature a 1/2-20 accessory port. A modification is available for older housings to convert the 1/2-20 port to M16 for use with the USB-C Charging & Data Transfer Bulkhead.

Only the Sony A7 III and A7R III cameras feature a USB-C port. The Sony A9 camera does not include a USB-C port and is not compatible with the USB-C Bulkhead.

Professional Functionality

No other manufacturer makes professional functionality so accessible. Ikelite housings are designed from the ground up to provide full camera control and external strobe lighting connection straight out of the box. Advanced features such as TTL lighting exposure and enhanced magnifying viewfinders are available as optional upgrades.

The DL-series lens ports are optimised to be the lightest on the market while maintaining superb image quality. The materials chosen for the housings and ports are engineered to maximise durability and corrosion resistance while keeping travel weight and cost to a minimum.

Controls

Controls are provided for everything except the Diopter adjustment dial, Multi-selector, Media slot cover switch, Control wheel, Focus mode dial, and Focus mode dial lock release button.

Pre-Dive Checks

There’s no greater assurance than being able to see your camera and O-ring seal through the back of the housing. Ikelite’s signature open-groove design suspends the rear O-ring in a natural position that’s easier to maintain and more reliable than forcing the O-ring into a channel. Once the housing is closed, you can visually confirm that the O-ring forms a solid, waterproof seal.

We recommend using a pump with a gauge to pull a vacuum on the housing and check for leaks prior to entering the water.

Construction

The specially formulated ABS-PC blend housing is highly durable yet significantly lighter than aluminium. The light colour helps keep your camera cooler when shooting in warm, sunny environments.

Lens Support

Ikelite lens ports are among the lightest on the market yet remain robust enough to handle rough surf conditions. A wide variety of lenses are supported. Most popular zoom lenses and select focus rings can be adjusted using simple gearing for fingertip control. Zoom and focus gears vary depending on the lens used.

Lens ports and zoom gears are sold separately. Refer to the appropriate port chart for compatibility information.

Wi-Fi Transfer

Use the camera’s built-in Wi-Fi feature to download photos to another device without removing the camera from the housing. The Wi-Fi function is only usable above water and within close proximity to the connected device.

Compatibility

Unless otherwise noted, this housing does not accommodate add-on grips, battery grips, eyepieces, LCD covers, or other accessories. Differences in lens and control placement prevent other camera models from being used or adapted. We are not aware of any other models compatible with this housing.
