The Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III is an excellent choice for underwater imaging. Its bright 24-100mm zoom lens works seamlessly with external wide-angle lenses, while the large 1" CMOS sensor, 4K UHD video, manual exposure modes, and RAW capture give you creative control beneath the surface.

This housing supports the full camera capabilities down to 60m (200ft). The clear back ensures full visibility of your camera and O-ring seal, while the removable rear section and dual stainless-steel locking latches make setup fast and secure.

Construction

Ikelite’s ABS-PC blend provides strength and corrosion resistance with minimal maintenance. The light-coloured body keeps your camera cooler underwater and enhances visibility of the LCD and O-ring seal. Each housing is hand-assembled, pressure-tested, and made from top-grade, locally sourced materials in the USA.

Ergonomics

Flash

The camera’s internal flash is not suitable for underwater photography. For vivid colour and clarity, add strobes or continuous lighting.

Tray & Handles

For stability and expandability, use the Action Tray II with Left Quick Release Handle #2605.04 and Right Handle Extension #2605.05. These rubberized grips provide comfort, balance, and quick-release access for lighting arms.

Optics: Zoom, Macro & Wide-Angle

• Supports full 24-100mm zoom behind the standard 3" optical glass port
• 67mm threaded macro lenses (AOI, Aquatica, INON UCL-165, Subsee, Saga, Nauticam CMC-1, etc.) attach directly
• WD-3 Wide Angle Dome #6430.3 offers a distortion-free wider view with 0.75x magnification
• Compatible with 67mm threaded wide-angle lenses like INON UWL-H100 (vignetting possible)
• 3.0" colour filters available for blue water, green water, and yellow fluorescence

Optional 6" Dome

Upgrade to the DC4 6" Dome Port #6404 for split shots, ultra-wide 24mm, and macro in one dive. Add the Anti-Reflection Foam Set #6407 for best results.

Sealing & Vacuum Testing

Ikelite’s open-groove O-ring system is easy to maintain and reliable. A spare 1/2-20 port allows optional installation of the Vacuum Kit #47012 for pre-dive leak testing. Every unit is factory tested to 60m.
