Mangrove Underwater Housings for CANON Video Cameras

See data sheet for compatible Canon Video Cameras

Data Sheet

Mangrove MVHDC-L CANON

The housing’s sleek, ergonomic design feels like a natural extension of your hands and makes capturing that perfect video sequence fluid and easy.  The housing also adapts to your future Canon video cameras. Redundant double O-ring seal system on the control unit provides maximum protection and does not depend on clamping pressure for security.

The camera mounts on a specially engineered universal camera tray that can be adjusted in a few minutes by the customer, the available length for the camera and its battery is 190mm/7.5 inches.

It is depth-rated to 200m/660 feet, making it the deepest-operating video housing on the market.

The Mangrove MVHDC is a full electronically controlled housing that uses the Infrared Remote Control for compatible Canon camcorders, the external controls on the housing are linked by 5/12 electromagnetic pushbuttons to corresponding controls on the camera inside the case, eliminating the need for the physical shafts that pierce the walls of mechanical housings. The electromagnetic controls do not penetrate the housing wall and can be easily removed for cleaning and maintenance. With non-penetrating electronic controls there is virtually no risk of the housing leaks typical with mechanical through-hole designs.

  • The Infrared remote control provides fingertip access to:
      • Monitor ON/OFF.
      • Record/Stanby.
      • Photo.
      • Zoom TELE
      • Zoom WIDE

For high definition camcorders with joystick control on the screen like the HF-100, HF-11, HF-10, HG-10, HG-20, HG21, etc, the following controls are also available:

      • Menu.
      • Cursor Up.
      • Cursor Down.
      • Cursor Right.
      • Cursor Left.
      • Enter.

These controls allow accessing all the functions of the camera like the white balance, iris, speed, etc

  • The housing features a 3.5" LCD monitor and comes with a 56mm threaded open port ring that accepts two available optional ports, the wide angle port WP-80 and the flat port FP-M56 that allows the mounting of any 67mm threaded lens.
