The Mangrove WP-90 is a high resolution underwater wide angle port for capturing dynamic wide angle images. This remarkable 90 degree optic is designed to work with the latest wide angle Sony camcorders and supports full zoom through. The lens have been designed by Fathom Imaging to bring distortion-free imaging to Mangrove housings. For big subjects and great "close focus wide-angle" performance, the wide-angle port WP-90 increases the camcorder's field of view while maintaining edge-to-edge sharpness and no colour aberration. The WP-90 provides a wonderful 87° field-of-view at full wide in seawater while still maintaining full-zoom-through focus capability. The WP-90 port is an economical wonder for large subjects and great compositional expansion. The wide angle lens will definitely enhance your videos, whether the subject matter is a broad view of a general area or your aim is to get up close and personal with larger subjects. Our lens system allows for partial zoom through capability of your camera. Distortion is virtually minimal with spectacular image quality attained.

This Fathom Imaging lens WP-90 is a true wide - angle lens for general-purpose underwater video. Approaching a 90 degree angle of view under the water and useable in air, this is a very versatile lens. It's wide enough to film divers exploring, or shoot creatures such as manta rays, the larger sharks including basking and whale sharks and the great whales. It is a must have in low visibility for anything but close ups. Because you have full zoom through, with the Fathom Imaging WP-90 fitted to your Mangrove underwater housing you can still tightly frame small reef fish. Main Features: 

• The WP-90 covers a range of 87º underwater and 90º on land, enabling extremely close focusing and assuring brilliant colour rendition, and producing high definition wide angle and macro images that are sharp and clear from edge to edge.

• It can be used on land as well as underwater, but the full zoom through is only possible underwater.

• The WP-90 is nitrogen purged/vacuum sealed in a dust-free environment, ensuring that there is no foreign matter or condensation to spoil your image. The lens are constructed entirely of corrosion-resistant aluminium alloy and high grade optical glass elements coated with a proprietary High Efficiency Broad Band Anti-Reflective coating for maximum light transmission.

• As the lens are backward compatible with many out-of production Mangrove housings, current users can upgrade to one of the finest ports available for underwater imaging. To do this, the original 67mm port should be returned to the factory to be replaced by the new 56mm threaded port ring. Contact us for more information.

• The WP-90 also accepts the colour correction filter CF-150 for blue water. Colour-correcting filters are created specifically to correct colours in Caribbean or tropical blue-green (cyan) water. With sunlight and the CF-150 filter, you capture the natural colours of ocean corals, fish and aquatic life in lakes, streams and rivers. This filter "neutralizes" the underwater blue colours so that the already existing true colours can be recorded on film or video. This Wet filter enhances the quality of both still and video images when an artificial light source is not in use. It can be installed and removed during the course of the dive.
